Dhanteras Puja – Welcoming Prosperity and Good Health
Dhanteras, also known as Dhantrayodashi, marks the beginning of the five-day Diwali festival. Observed on the thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik, it is a highly auspicious day dedicated to Lord Dhanvantari, the God of health and Ayurveda, and Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth and prosperity. On this day, devotees light diyas, clean and decorate their homes, and perform puja to invite wealth, success, and good fortune into their lives. People also purchase gold, silver, utensils, or electronics, as it is believed to bring long-lasting prosperity.
